Jewelry Care

Taking Care of Your  jewelry is important to ensure they retain its beauty and value over time. Here are some tips for caring your gemstones, pearls, 14k gold filled or sterling silver.

  1.  Gently clean your gemstones or pearls using a soft, lint-free cloth and mild soft water.  Rinse them thoroughly and dry them with a clean cloth.
  2. Avoid exposing your gemstones or pearls and metals to harsh chemicals such as chlorine or bleach, which can damage them.
  3. Store your gemstones and pearls separately from each other ideally in a soft pouch or jewelry box with compartments to prevent scratching.
  4. Take off your jewelry during high physical activity.
  5. Avoid using abrasive cleaning tools such as scouring pads and toothbrushes as these can scratch your jewelry.
  6. Remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, or exercising.  Sweat and chlorine can cause damage to the metal and gemstones.
    Sterling Silver
  1. Store your sterling Silver in a cool dry place, away from sunlight and humidity.  Exposure to air and moisture can cause the silver to tarnish.
  2. Avoid wearing your sterling silver jewelry while swimming or showering.  Chlorine can cause the silver to tarnish more quickly.
  3. Use sterling silver polishing cloth to clean your jewelry and remove oxidation.
  4. Add a piece of anti tarnish paper to your jewelry bag to help prevent tarnishing.
